The Lake is Calling—And So is USARC!
Here at the United States Adaptive Recreation Center (USARC), the countdown is officially on. Our summer programs return to Big Bear Lake starting June 30th, and we can’t wait to welcome back familiar faces and meet new ones!
If you’ve never experienced a summer with USARC, prepare for something truly special. Each program is carefully designed to empower people with disabilities through outdoor adventure, and it all happens in one of the most beautiful mountain lake settings in California.
Adaptive Summer Programs for Every Level
Whether you’re looking for an exciting day trip or an immersive overnight experience, our summer line-up has something for everyone:
- Day Programs Perfect for participants who want a taste of the action. Enjoy a full day of water skiing, paddle sports (kayaking, canoeing, SUP), or adaptive fishing, all led by trained volunteers and professionals.
- Overnight Programs Looking for a deeper connection? Our overnight trips include multiple days of activities, evening campfires, and inclusive lodging—all with 24/7 support to ensure fun and comfort.
What Makes USARC Summer So Special?
Summer at USARC is about more than just outdoor fun (though there’s plenty of that!). It’s about:
- Building confidence through new challenges
- Creating lifelong friendships
- Embracing independence in a safe, supportive environment
- Having serious fun with a crew that truly gets it
Our staff and volunteers are trained, passionate, and fully committed to making every moment count.
Don’t Miss Out—Spots Are Filling Fast
Summer only lasts a few months, but the memories made at USARC last a lifetime. Whether you’re a returning participant, a first-time adventurer, or someone looking to volunteer, we invite you to be part of something powerful this season.
